Terri and Mike,

I would just make sure your new yellow boy has had all of his shots.  Socialization is very important, especially if you're going to take him into the show ring.  It's not too early to start teaching him how to stand.  However, I wouldn't "push" it...he needs to be a puppy!

  We just got a new yellow boy...about 11 weeks old and want to start introducing him to the arena and other dogs....Is he too young? He will be ready to start showing in September when he is 6 months.
  I know he will be too goofy at this age to really do anything, but maybe just being around the other dogs will help him socialize?
  Any suggestions?
